We are excited to support the Worthington Resource Pantry for week #3 of our 5-week-long project! In case you missed it, we’ve made a simple weekly commitment to getting our kids involved in giving back to the community by choosing a different organization to support each week, and so far, they are loving it!

This week, we went shopping for some much needed items to support this awesome organization, which has a mission of feeding the community by connecting neighbors to healthy food, resources and to each other.

This was a super, simple way to give back — and we started out by making a grocery list based off the list of items currently needed the most on the Worthington Resource Pantry’s donation webpage. After that, my 5-year-old and I headed to the store and stocked up on some of those essential items – mac & cheese, tuna & canned vegetables!

We then boxed them up and will be headed out to drop them off at the pantry early next week (they’re open every day of the week with the exception of Sunday)! I can’t emphasize enough how extremely EASY this was — and it was the perfect opportunity to help my kids understand that not everyone has access to items that we use every day and often take for granted.
