If I told you that I built this beautiful cheese board using ingredients from the one and only Target, would you believe me? While I appreciate Target’s grocery section because it provides the perfect opportunity for me to grab that needed gallon of milk while I’m stocking up on wardrobe essentials, I have to admit that I don’t really take advantage of it as much as I should. However, I managed to grab all of these items during a fifteen minute shopping spree through the aisles of this popular store.
The situation was this (and I’m sure so many of you can relate) — we were supposed to go to a friend’s house for a family-friendly holiday get-together, and I volunteered to bring an appetizer. Everything else took priority that day, and I just never got around to finding a good recipe (let alone finding the time to put it together). I headed to Target with intentions of grabbing a bag of tortilla chips and some salsa (it’s always a crowd pleaser, right?) — and as I started walking down the aisles, I realized that a really good (and impressive) cheese board would simply require me to grab some cheeses, meats and fun snacks, open the packages and creatively place them on my board. DONE!
It was a huge hit — and everyone was impressed as it looks like I spent waaaaay more time than I did. The kids even loved it. I think I’ll be volunteering to bring the appetizer more often this holiday season.
